Adult Education
Education happens at UBC in a variety of ways. There is a weekly Sunday School for children led by a cadre of great teachers.
The Sunday School meets from 11:30-12:30 every Sunday from September-May.
There are also other opportunities for education:
-
Forums

Bible Study

Weekday Studies
Forums: These happen every Sunday from 11:30-12:30 in the Lounge. The forums are on topics of interest to the congregation but can vary from an informal getting to know you session for new people called "All About You", to a more formal lecture on a topic of interest. Some of the recent forums include the Burma Independence movement, an update from the Joint Religious Legislative Coalition, a bi-lingual opportunity to learn more about our sister church in Leon, Nicaragua.
Bible Study: On Sundays there is a study that meets from 11:30-12:30 in the church library. This group usually looks at a particular book of the Bible taking several weeks or months to investigate the nuances and teachings of the book. It is open to everyone.
Weekday Studies: Periodically we have topical studies that focus on a theme. We often look at a book or series of books. Some of the weekday studies have included: "Beyond Belief: DaVinci, the Bible and You"; "The Impossible will take a While"; "Is Religion Killing Us?" "The Gospel of Judas", "Seeking Spirituality". We are currently examining the book Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth by Reza Aslan.
